PPL lends a helping hand to Cyclone Dana
PARADEEP PHOSPHATES LIMITED EXTENDED HELP TO DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION IN AWAKE OF CYCLONE ‘DANA’

India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicated a depression in Bay of Bengal on 22nd and in turn it will turn to Cyclone called ‘Dana’ and make a landfall near Dhamra in the morning of 25th October ’24. As per the Forecast Jagatsinghpur will be one of the worst affected District beside Balasore, Kendrapada and Bhadrak. Looking at the severity and impact of the Cyclone a Meeting was Convened by District Administration which was attended by Mr. Sampad Swain, Minister of State (Ind.) for Industries & Skill Building, Mr. J Sonal, Collector & District Magistrate, Mr. Niranjan Behera, Addl. District Magistrate, Paradeep, other Senior Officials and Industry representatives of Paradeep. In the meeting all industries were directed to provide relief materials to combat the situation arising due to Cyclone.
According to the instructions PPL provided the Following relief materials Immediately,
Biscuit Packet-20000
Chuda 15 Quintal
Guda-07 Quintal
Tourch with Battery-500 nos
Candel-1000 Candles
Match Box-1000 Pkts.
Water-5000 bottle
Amul-2000 Pkt
Beside this 2 JCB with Driver and 3 Tree Cutters with Operator also provided,
As per the instructions of the District Administration PPL has stopped all Construction Works at Plant site for 3 days. Mr. Palanisamy Velusamy, Unit Head and Mr. Sumit Senapati, CGM (HR & IR) has assured to stand with the People of Jagatsinghpur during this time of distress.
