Paradip Port Authority conducted “Run for Unity” today as a built up to Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on the occasion of 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October’ 2024. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had recently announced that this year, due to Deepawali, the Run for Unity, may be held on October 29. He had urged people to participate, promoting unity and fitness.
Chairman, PPA Shri P.L.Haranadh while addressing today’s gathering, highlighted Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India and called for an inclusive, prosperous and harmonious Country. He urged all the employees to follow the same resolve and put their best efforts forward to take PPA into newer heights in coming times. Thereafter, Shri Haranadh flagged off the “Run for Unity” comprising of officers, employees, CISF personnel, Sports trainees of GKS, college students of Paradeep College and Orissa Maritime Academy, which traversing through Port township culminated at the PPA Administrative Building.Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy.Chairman, PPA along with other HoDs and senior officials graced the occasion.
